Extension Care.
Let's face it, extensions are an investment. In order to protect and maintain the life of your hair, we recommend the following tips.
· Wash with Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner.
· Blow dry the top of Volume or Hand Tied weft extensions so it does not hold moisture.
· Oil the mid to ends of the hair at least once a day. Avoid the root area of hair & the attachment point.
· Sleep in a low braid or ponytail.
· Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase.
· Brush from the ends of your hair moving upward.
· Brush a few times a day to prevent tangling. Section hair and brush in-between extensions.
· When swimming, lightly coat your hair in conditioner and wear in a braid or tight high bun. Rinse with clean water immediately after.
· Hard water can strip natural and extension hair of color and nutrients. If possible, get a water filter for your shower.
·A silk or satin shower cap is helpful.
· Be aware, salt water and chlorine can strip hair of color.
· Avoid non-mineral based sunscreen or sunscreen with avobenzine touching your extensions.
· Avoid Bleaching extensions.
· Avoid Perms on extensions.
* Tape-ins/I-Tip:
· Do not apply conditioner directly to the attachment area.
· Do not wash your hair for 24-48 hours after initial install.
· Avoid high heat styling at the attachment area.
* K-Tip:
· Okay to air dry.
· Do not wash your hair for 24-48 hours after initial install.
· Hold the tops while brushing.
· Avoid high heat styling at the roots & attachment area.
